Education is a high priority in Langenburg and we are excited to announce that a new Pre-K to 12 School is in the final stages of construction, set to be finished by the Fall of 2016.

Summer Recreation
Centennial Park/Langenburg Swimming Pool: Centennial Park includes the pool, picnic tables, “Trent’s Place” a gazebo for events and a new playground area. Located in Centennial Park, the Langenburg Swimming Pool, open June to August; offers a range of lessons including: AquaTots, AquaQuest, AquaAdults and Lifesaving Society classes. The outdoor heated pool, complete with a diving board and paddling pool; highlights fun in the summer sun.

Winter Recreation
Langenburg Skating Arena/Curling Arena: The skating arena is a modern artificial ice facility and accommodates hockey games and tournaments, CanSkate lessons and public skating. The curling arena offers 4 sheets of artificial ice to accommodate countless types of curling leagues. Bonspiels and funspiels are organized throughout the season with a licensed lounge to cater to all events.

Arts and Culture
George Layh Theatre: The George Layh Theatre is truly a centre of the arts in Langenburg. Performers and guests from across Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Canada are amazed that our little community supports the arts in so many ways. There is a projector to show new releases for movie nights on Friday or Saturday most weeks.

Mosaics/Rest Area: Located on the North side of the highway, framing the rest stop area and parking lot; each of the four pillar tile mosaics reflect an aspect of Langenburg’s history, agriculture, business and culture. Enjoy the play and picnic area, complete with washrooms. Don’t forget to take a picture beside Goliath, the world’s largest swing!

Carlton Trail Regional Park: Located 15 minutes from Langenburg on Highway 8, the park features a 9-hole golf course. There is a full menu clubhouse with a fully licensed lounge, washrooms and shower facilities. The park has 38 electrical campsites and 20 non-electrical sites. There are 2 man- made lakes, stocked with pickerel for catch and release fishing.
