The town of Esterhazy is situated between two scenic valleys: the Qu’Appelle River Valley and the Kaposvar Valley. The Kaposvar Valley includes the town’s north end then extends through the town’s nine-hole golf course and follows the south-east to join with the Qu’Appelle River Valley.

Esterhazy offers a true blend of locally-owned businesses and national franchises. Our businesses provide everything from farm, automotive, personal, and recreational products, clothing, and household essentials.
As well, Esterhazy is home to a variety of specialty shops and businesses including department stores, boutiques, florists, gift shops, hairstylists, aesthetician, insurance agencies, an accounting firm, investment brokerages, law firms, computer consultants, post office, restaurants, lounges, a wellness clinic, chartered herbalist, fitness centers, funeral home, and a bowling arena.
Esterhazy is home to two potash mines (with a third now under construction), owned & operated by Mosaic. The potash that is mined at Esterhazy is used in fertilizer around the world, from North America, South America to Europe and China. Mosaic operates two mines in the Esterhazy area, K1 and K2 with K3 currently under construction and scheduled for completion soon. They have a combined production capacity of 4.2 million tonnes per year -- still the largest potash mine in the world
Esterhazy hosts a winter festival during the last weekend of February. This festival has many family oriented activities that include a family dance, an indoor winter carnival, a toboggan party and other various luncheons and dinners. There is something new every year!
The Hazy Dayz summer festival is held during the 3rd weekend in June. This annual festival takes place on Main Street in Esterhazy and includes live entertainment, games, food booths and a parade.
Our Lady of Assumption Pilgrimage
At the heart of the first Hungarian homestead is the Kaposvar Historic Site and Museum, with a ruggedly beautiful stone church built in 1906. The annual Our Lady of Assumption pilgrimage is held on site each year on the third Sunday in August.
